We are pleased to announce that our sober living homes have received FARR Certification. The Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) supports providers, such as Purpose House, in their effort to deliver quality recovery-oriented housing opportunities to persons who seek to reside in abstinence-based, peer supportive environments.
FARR was founded in 2011 out of the need to evaluate and monitor standards-based recovery support services provided in community-based, residential settings throughout Florida. FARR is the Florida Affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). This means all of our Purpose House transitional homes also comply with national standards to provide the finest in its field.
Purpose House transitional homes are FARR Level II certified.
This means we have:
At least one compensated employee
Primarily single family residences
House rules to provide structure
Peer run groups
Drug screening
House meetings
Involvement in self help and/or treatment services
House manager or senior resident
Policies and procedures that govern our operations
When a new resident moves into one of our sober living homes, safety and integrity are of our upmost concerns. Our homes are clean and comfortable. Because they are run by a house leader, each sober living home welcomes new guests into a supportive, recovery-friendly environment.
